Friends of Rooster’s Rendezvous Community Garden 23718 7th Ave SE Bothell, WA 98021 Dear Business Owner and Community Member, We are a group of Bothell residents and employees who are organizing a community garden or p-patch. We have been working hard to establish this first p-patch located in Bothell. The land, fencing materials and gravel for the pathways have been donated by the Loveless Family and Country Village. We have cleared the area and are ready to build the raised beds. We plan to have a total of twenty four raised beds measuring 4’ by 12’ each, constructed of cement blocks. Participants will pay $35.00 per year to help defray costs of water and administration. We hope the garden is abundant and all gardeners will sign a contract pledging any extra produce to be given to our local food bank, Hopelink. We are in need of a number of items to complete the garden and ask if you might be able to contribute materials or even funds to purchase any of the materials listed below. - Cement blocks for raised beds (csb 6”wide, 16” long)
- Top soil
- Perlite (to add to soil)
- Landscape cloth for pathways
- 2 X 6’s for construction of compost bins
- Chipper (use of for 1-2 days to create bark for around raised beds)
- Garden tools, hoses, picnic table or outdoor table
All organizations donating materials will be recognized on a plaque on site as well as in press releases about the garden. Thank you for your consideration and if you have any questions or would like any additional information about our p-patch please give me a call at 360-563-2774. Sincerely, Rebecca Loveless
